CHS Director Steve Riegel named to Kansas Cooperative Hall of Fame

CHS Director Steve Riegel was elected to serve on the CHS Board in 2006 and currently serves as assistant secretary-treasurer.

CHS Director Steve Riegel has been dedicated to helping the cooperative system succeed for more than 44 years. In March, the Kansas Cooperative Council honored Riegel’s service by inducting him into the Kansas Cooperative Hall of Fame.

Riegel began his cooperative career in 1976 as an associate director for his local cooperative in western Kansas. Quickly recognized as a respected leader, he went on to become board chair. His tenure as chair including merging with Dodge City Cooperative, which later became Pride Ag Resources. Riegel was elected to serve on the CHS Board in 2006 and currently serves as assistant secretary-treasurer of the Board. 

The Kansas Cooperative Hall of Fame was established in 1999 to honor individuals in Kansas who have been instrumental in developing and spreading the cooperative philosophy. To date, 49 individuals have been honored.
