CHS donates $150,000 to Twin Cities rebuilding efforts

In response to the recent unrest and destruction across the Twin Cities and communities across the county, CHS has taken action and donated $150,000 to the Twin Cities Rebuild the Future Fund. This donation will provide immediate support to help rebuild micro- and minority- owned small businesses in the areas of the Twin Cities most impacted. These businesses are the lifeblood of many neighborhoods and their rebuilding will empower the communities that depend on them.
“Everyone’s voice matters and listening to all those voices will help us take actions that make a difference,” says Jay Debertin, CHS president and CEO. “We’re proud to be one of the initial funders of this large-scale initiative.”
The fund is a partnership established by the Minneapolis Foundation, Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation and Greater Twin Cities United Way and has raised more than $1.3 million in the first few days. Donations will cover repairs, equipment, technology, building materials, relocation expenses and more for small businesses affected. Funds will be distributed to those in need in late June.
