The Weber Family
The Weber family “enjoys working together outside in our beautiful state of Iowa.” The family operates a beef cattle operation in Hopkinton, with more than 1,200 acres of corn, soybeans and pasture oats. Their young sons represent the fourth generation of farmers in the family.
Several members of the family have obtained veterinary degrees from the university, including a great aunt (Margaret Sloss) who was the first female veterinarian to graduate from Iowa State – there is a house on campus named after her. In addition, a grandfather played college football at Iowa State in the 1930s.
