  • Why does CHS require new members to sign up for direct deposit?

    Direct deposit is the fastest, easiest and most secure way to receive payments from CHS.

  • What payments would I receive electronically?
    Once authorized, CHS would use direct deposit for nearly all payments, including grain payments and any patronage distributions earned for doing business with CHS. There are a few exceptions: Lien payments, payments for commodities attached to CCC loans and equity redemptions will continue to be paid with paper checks.
  • How do I know my information will be secure?
    CHS employs the latest data security technologies and practices to secure member and customer information. That is one reason why we encourage all members to authorize direct payments to their accounts, which reduces fraud risk for our members and for CHS.
  • Who should I talk with if I have questions about CHS membership or the application process?
    Start with your local CHS representatives. They can answer your questions or connect you with other resources so you have the information you need to begin participating in the benefits of cooperative ownership.
