How does your co-op support your farm? “Garden City Co-op is an essential part of our farming operation. The co-op team is an extension of our farm. They help us navigate the fast-changing landscape of agriculture, market grain, determine crop input needs and stay up-to-date with new farm technologies.”
Why are you committed to agriculture? “Agriculture isn’t just a business for us. It’s our way of life and has been for many generations. Tyler and I were both raised on farms and continuing that for our daughters is very important to us.”
How has participating in the CHS New Leaders Forum benefited you? “I learned valuable information about the cooperative system at the national level and how it supports my co-op at the local level. I also found value in making connections with farmers and ranchers from across the country. The cooperative system was built on farmers supporting farmers and that is what the New Leaders Forum is all about.”
“It takes a co-op to connect local agriculture to global systems.”
